Data we process
For a viewing request, we process your name, email address, optional telephone number, message, language choice and selected listing. For a business sign-up, we process company name, email address, telephone number and message; the form is emailed to us and is not stored in the application database. For participating brokers, we process and display business profile and listing data. For the broker area, we process a username, email address and hashed password.
Website use
We record aggregated page views, page type, language and island, browser family, device type, operating system, referring domain and, where available, country or broad region. Full IP addresses and full browser identifiers are not stored in the analytics database. A daily rotating protected code reduces duplicate counts within the same day and cannot follow a visitor across days. For partner advertisement clicks, we record the advertisement, placement, where applicable the listing, island and time. We do not create advertising profiles.
Favorites and language
Favorites are stored only as listing slugs in your browser's local storage under caribbean_listings_favorites. They are not sent to our database as a favorites profile. When you choose a language, the functional site-lang cookie may be set.
Why and with whom
We use this data to operate the platform, display listings, send appointment requests to the relevant broker, handle sign-ups and access to the broker and partner areas, improve the website and campaigns at an aggregated level, and keep the website secure. Analytics are processed in our own application and are not shared with Google Analytics or Meta. An appointment request is sent to the broker for the selected listing. Hosting, database and email services support the platform and email delivery.
External content
A map on a listing-detail page is loaded from OpenFreeMap. External videos and virtual tours may be loaded through YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, Vimeo or Matterport. These providers process data under their own policies.
Retention and your rights
Aggregated daily totals are retained for no more than 25 months. Daily rotating visitor codes are retained for no more than 13 months and cannot connect visitors across different days. Appointment requests remain available for handling or until removed. You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction and object where the law permits. Email info@caribbean-listings.com.
No advertising tracking
The website does not use analytics cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, session recordings or cross-site advertising trackers.
Law and changes
