Noord & Palm Beach
A popular north-western area with beaches, resorts, restaurants and varied residential neighbourhoods.

History
Noord developed as a local settlement around Santa Ana Church. On the coast, Alto Vista Chapel—whose first chapel dated from 1750—remains a landmark in the northern landscape.
As tourism expanded, Palm Beach became Aruba's principal hotel area. Inland neighbourhoods now sit alongside new developments, holiday rentals and services.
Character and living
The coast offers abundant dining, shops and recreation, while inland neighbourhoods are often quieter and more residential. Housing ranges from apartments to villas and gated communities.
Distances are short, although traffic around Palm Beach can build at peak times. Check local rules when holiday letting forms part of the plan.
