Banda Abou
The rural west with villages, hills, plantation houses and sheltered coves.

History
Banda Abou covers the area west of Willemstad, with villages and former plantation landscapes around Barber, Soto, Lagun and Westpunt. Plantation houses and traditional settlements keep the historic landscape visible.
The hills around Mount Christoffel and sheltered bays shaped agriculture, fishing and links between the villages. The area is less urbanised than eastern Curaçao.
Character and living
Living is spacious and quiet, often close to nature and coves. The market includes village homes, detached houses, plots and small leisure developments.
Travel time to shops, healthcare, schools and work matters more than in Willemstad. Also check water, internet, road quality and access for each specific property.
